Senior & Underclassmen Awards Day - Friday, May 26

Parents & family members -- Please join us for Awards Day presentations on Friday, May 26th. Senior Awards will begin at 8:30 am in the Main Gym (Please arrive early because parking is limited; FYI - Parents / families can park in in the grassy area across from the front staff parking lot). Breakfast will be provided for 12th graders after the awards ceremony ends @ approx. 10:00 am. Seniors then have permission to stay for the underclassmen awards ceremony & yearbook presentation or leave campus. The Underclassmen Awards Ceremony will begin at 10:10 am in the Main Gym, followed by the 2016-17 yearbook presentation. Yearbooks will be distributed during lunch periods. This is a half day for Seniors only. If Seniors choose to leave before lunch periods, they will be able to pick up yearbooks the following week.

NCHS Final Exam Week Information (Link - Click Me!)

NCHS Exam Week is June 5-9, 2017. All state exams (EOC's, NCFE's and CTE exams) will be given in the mornings, starting at 7:40 am. All teacher-made tests will be given in the afternoons, starting at 12:50 pm. Please open the link above to find the exam day parent permission sign-in / sign-out form and parent letter. The Sign-in / Sign-Out form can be printed and it is due to the Main Office by 4:00 pm on Friday, May 26th. No late forms will be accepted, so please do not procrastinate about returning it.

Friday, June 9th - Early Release Announcement

Newton-Conover City Schools will operate on modified early release schedule for students on Friday, June 9, 2017. 

FRIDAY, JUNE 9, 2017 DISMISSAL:
12:15 p.m. ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
12:00 p.m. CONOVER SCHOOL
11:40 a.m. MIDDLE SCHOOL
11:40 a.m. HIGH SCHOOLS
After-school care will begin immediately at dismissal, with Monday beginning Summer Camp for Pre-K and school-age students at North Newton Elementary School.

Friday, June 9, 2017 is the last student day of the 2016-2017 school year.
