NCHS Athletic Booster Scholarship in Memory of Maggie Daniels 

Two scholarships valued at $1,500.00 each will be given to one male and one female student athlete who has participated in sports all four years while attending at NCHS and plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college or university or enter the Armed Forces. Have the respect and admiration of teammates, teachers, and administrators. Exhibit leadership in the classroom and on their team. Two letters of recommendation are required, along with transcript and a personal statement on how "Your best is yet to be" Copies of the application can be picked up in Student Services. Complete applications with recommendations are due back to Mrs. Hayman NO LATER than April 30th. NO EXCEPTIONS



Martin McConnell Memorial Scholarship

The Martin McConnell Memorial Scholarship is given each year to a deserving senior attending a 4 year college or university who shows great character and leadership. The scholarship is approximately  $1, 000 to $1,200.00 dollars and can be picked up in Student Services. Complete applications must be submitted to Mrs. Hayman by Friday, May 3rd. No EXCEPTIONS!


The Mary Catherine Shivers Award

Seniors must be active in drama and/or community theater. Special consideration is given to students who have been involved with The Green Room. Shivers applicants must be planning to pursue  a degree in the acting or visual arts after high school . Paper copies can be picked up in Student Services or by clicking on website.   

Applications must be post marked by April 24, 2019


Tailor Made Lawn Services 


Seniors who have a 3.0 GPA and plan on pursing a degree in environmental engineering, plant sciences, environmental sciences, green technology, or other related field. Students must have a passion in the filed, and address why you believe you deserve this scholarship. Description: The Caregiver Scholarship is intended for students who are passionate about helping seniors live healthy lives and are pursuing careers in senior care. The award can be used towards tuition and/or books.
Applicant Eligibility: Applicants must be actively enrolled in or accepted to attend a U.S. college or university and pursuing a career in senior care.
Application Requirements: Applicants must submit either a 500-word essay or 2-3 minute video addressing a topic related to elder care. Where to Apply: scholarship page
Deadline: The 2018 deadline was July 31, 2018. The 2019 deadline has not been released.



The Ruby Horne Wellborn Scholarship

First United Methodist Church

Applications are now available in Student Services. Three letters of recommendation along with a high school transcript must be received no later than April 17th to the address on the application.  Must have a GPA between 2.5 to 3.99 (4.0 is excluded high school applicant). Must provide a copy of the must current filed tax returns of the parent or guardian.  The amount of the scholarship is: $1,500.00.   





The Odum Scholarship

This scholarship was designed to offer assistance to any student who will be attending at technical college, community college, or four year college or university and has a financial need. The amount of the scholarship is $1,500.00 per school year.  ($750.00 each semester disbursements)   This is a renewable scholarship for 8 consecutive semesters.

Applications MUST arrive to the address provided  on the scholarship NO later than  April 17th, 2019.  All questions should be submitted to Jo Anne Hewins on the email provided on the application.   Please fill out in INK!!  (Blue or Black)   Make sure you have neat, clear handwriting. Your references and theme should be on separate sheets of paper, typed.   You must include a transcript.

Make sure your references place their information in sealed envelopes and return to you in a timely fashion and you submit you packet in time to arrive by April 17th to the address provided!!   DO NOT MAIL YOUR PACKET ON APRIL 17th.  Thank you!



Imagine America Scholarship
To qualify applicants must be a high school senior with a min. GPA of 2.5 or above and enroll in a participating career college. Applicants may also be requested to demonstrate commitment to community service and/or financial need.  To learn more please visit
