United States JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors in the U.S, where the state has an active JCI Senate Program.

(See www.usjcisenate.org (under scholarship) or www.usjcisenatefoundation.org for listing of eligible states).  You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this scholarship. Applications in Student Services. Deadline is: Jan. 11, 2019

 

SECU Foundation People Helping People: Applications are now available in Student Services. (Please see Mrs. Hayman for the attachment to the final application to be completed in Word) Two students can be selected from the Newton-Conover district. Senior must be attending one of the 16 public universities in North Carolina. This is a $10,000.00 scholarship payable:

$1,250 per semester for 8 semesters. Deadline to submit completed application to Mrs. Hayman is Friday, March 15, 2019.

 

Drum-Wilkinson Educational Foundation Scholarship

Student must be a legal resident of the U.S. and have genuine financial need. Must have excellent character, strong academics, a concern for others, and an effort to expand knowledge, experiences and abilities. Application must be POSTMARKED no later than March 17th, 2019. Applications can be picked up in Student Services. See Mrs. Hayman

 
 The Patrick Beaver Scholarship Foundation
Guidelines: Must have A/B average, extraordinary character, two letters of recommendation, a focus on an enriching school experience and achieving expected educational goals as evidenced by a required essay and achievement in extracurricular actives both on and off campus.  4- $3,000.00 scholarships will be awarded. The scholarship is for students attending a 4 year college.   IN ORDER TO APPLY YOU WILL NEED TO SEE YOUR SCHOOL COUNSELOR FOR THE PASSWORD THEN Go to: www.fsrequests.com/patrickbeaver 
Review all requirements and submit between Feb.1st-Feb.22, 2019 
Applicants must have two letters of recommendation and a transcript submitted by Feb. 22, 2019. 
 
American Legion Auxiliary
Spirit of Youth Scholarship for Junior Members 2019
Five scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $5,000 each in 2019. Candidates must be junior members of the American Legion Auxiliary, held membership for the past 3 consecutive years (2016,17,18) must be a paid member for the current (2019)membership year and must continue her membership through the scholarship period. Student must be a senior in high school and have a min. 3.0 GPA.  Deadline: Applications must be sent to  Ms. Annie Ross American Legion District President by 3/1/19.  
Senior ladies can see Mrs. Hayman for a complete application. 
 
American Legion Auxiliary
Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship 2019
15 scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each will be awarded in 2019.  Candidates for this award shall be daughters, sons, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandson or great-granddaughters of veterans who served in the armed forces who served in the eligibility dates of membership of the American Legion.  Applications must be a senior in high school and must complete 50 hours of volunteer service within  the community during his/her high school years.  Please see Mrs. Hayman for an application. Deadline:

Imagine America Scholarship
To qualify applicants must be a high school senior with a min. GPA of 2.5 or above and enroll in a participating career college. Lenoir-Rhyne University is pleased to announce the fifth year of the LR Teaching Scholars scholarship program. L-R is currently recruiting exemplary high school seniors to receive this prestigious scholarship and develop the skills to become effective teacher leaders for public schools. Fall 2019 applications are being accepted now. Priority consideration will be given to students applying by January 10, 2019. However, students are highly encouraged to apply now as space is limited. If you are a current senior and in the Beta Club, the National Beta Club is awarding over 250 scholarships ranging from $1,000.00 to $15,000.00 to deserving graduating Beta members.
