Message from the Principal…
On behalf of the faculty, staff, and administration of Newton-Conover High School, it is my honor to welcome you to a new school year. I am truly honored and privileged to serve as your principal and continue to offer each of you a high quality educational experience during the time you spend at Newton-Conover High School.
Newton-Conover High School is a special place for several reasons. First, are the students and families that attend Newton-Conover High School. Second, is the rich academic reputation Newton-Conover High School has in Catawba County and the state of North Carolina. Third, are the extra-curricular opportunities available to you, whether it is one of our athletic programs, performing in our award winning band, or participating in one of our many clubs. I trust that Newton-Conover offers an extra-curricular opportunity for everyone, and I hope that each of you will take full advantage and participate in our extra-curricular offerings and continue to show your Red Devil Pride.
I commit to you that the faculty, staff, and administration of Newton-Conover High School will do our part in offering a high quality educational experience for your child. Parents, our job is made more difficult without your help and participation in the education of your child. I encourage you to be involved in the band/athletic boosters’ organizations and our Parent Boosters Club. Communicate regularly with your child’s teachers to ensure academic progress is being made and actively review your child’s progress reports and report cards. Please feel free to contact me should you have questions or concerns regarding the academic progress of your child.
This handbook contains thorough information for all students and parents/guardians in understanding the policies and procedures of Newton-Conover High School. I encourage you to read it thoroughly and contact me if you have any questions regarding its content. I look forward to working with each of you to ensure Newton-Conover High School continues to meet the academic and personal needs of all of our students.
A promise from,
