Good evening, Red Devily Family! Here are your announcements for the week of October 9-13, 2023.  8th grade yearbook ads are still on sale. This is a great way for parents to include a special message and pictures of their child in the yearbook. Please see our Facebook and website for more information, or you may reach out to Ms. Fair. (paiton.fair@n-ccs.org) We are quickly approaching the end of the first quarter of the school year. Parents, we need your help to encourage your child to submit all outstanding assignments.  October 20th will be report card pick-up day. Parents, you may visit your child’s teachers between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. and pick up your child’s report card or schedule a conference in advance for that day by contacting your child’s teacher. Please reach out to your child’s teachers if you have any questions.  This Friday, 7th-grade students will participate in a vision and hearing screening.  Also, on Friday, Ms. Isaacs's theatre students will perform student-created Halloween Stories in the auditorium starting at 6 p.m. We look forward to having parents and community members attend this event.  Mark your calendars, we will have a Halloween dance on Oct 27, 2023 from 3-5:30 p.m. More information and details will be shared in the upcoming days.  In athletic news, Congratulations to the football team and soccer team for picking up big wins this week. The football team won big against Maiden, while the soccer team moved into sole possession of first place and is still undefeated on the season. Cross country runners are nearing the end of their season and continue to put in strong performances, and runners are setting PR each week. The volleyball team is playing hard and is displaying grit and determination. We are proud of fall sports teams and what they have accomplished at this point in the season.  This week, the cross country team will be at Bandys on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, the soccer and volleyball teams will travel to Maiden, while the football team will be at home to take on Jacobs Fork. On Thursday, soccer and volleyball teams will be home to play against Mill Creek.  That is all for our weekly announcements. Have a wonderful week!

Sixth graders have been learning about the types of mixtures and have been practicing identifying the solute and solvent within a solution. They made a bubble solution and students were able to enjoy and make observations while interacting with their solutions.

The Lady Red Devil volleyball team lost a competitive match with Arndt yesterday 2-0. The girls continue to work very hard and play very well. Next Tuesday they are away as they take on Maiden. Come cheer them on at their next home game on Thursday 10/12 vs. Mill Creek

The Red Devils soccer team defeated Arndt Middle on Thursday 4-0. They played a great game! Did you catch it? The soccer team will play at Maiden on Tuesday and at home against Mill Creek on Thursday. Come cheer them on!

Good evening, Red Devil Family! Here are your announcements for the week of October 2-6, 2023.  Christmas Bureau is currently accepting applications. Please ask your students to see the informational form that was sent home with them. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with our school counselors.  N-CMS is seeking donations for PBIS prizes. Each week, students earn tickets based on their demonstration and following our PBIS expectations and turn those tickets into our prize box. Tickets of several students from each grade level are pulled, and students come to the office to pick a prize.  Students love snacks, trinkets, stickers, hair bows, bracelets, items for their locker, stuffed animals, etc. Please consider donating so we can continue to reward our students for their positive behaviors.  In athletic news, Congratulations to the volleyball and football teams for picking up their first wins of the season. Volleyball knocked off Grandview MS, while the football team won a tough matchup against Mill Creek. Our soccer team continues to be undefeated and is playing extremely well. The cross-country team continues to improve, and many students have improved upon their personal best records.  This week,  The cross-country team will be at River Bend on Monday. On Tuesday, the volleyball and soccer teams will be home to take on River Bend. On Wednesday, the football team will travel to Maiden. Good evening, Red Devil Family! Here are your announcements for the week of September 25-29, 2023.  This is a reminder there is no school this Friday, September 29. If you have any questions, please contact our school counselors.  In athletic news,  The boy's soccer team is still undefeated. They want to keep that streak alive this week as they play at Grandview on Tuesday and Northview on Thursday.  The volleyball team is putting on some of the best performances we have seen in a few years and is working very hard. They are in action on Tuesday at Grandview and on Thursday at Northview.  The football team lost a close game last week. They want to bounce back this week as they take on Mill Creek at home.
