Welcome to the Foreign Language Department at Newton-Conover High School

Mission: To promote cultural understanding and to develop the ability to communicate in meaningful and appropriate ways with speakers of other languages.
Our Goal: To develop students’ language proficiency around modes of communicative competence reflecting real life communication. This is reflected in the Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st century by five goals (the 5 Cs) that focus language learning on: Communications, Culture, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities.
