History
Welcome to Newton Conover High School's History Department!
All the staff would like to take the time to thank each and every student and parent who has been a part of our program over the years. At NCHS we expect a high level of learning and engagement in the classroom and the social studies department is committed to that message. Through differentiated instruction, field trips, informative and interactive videos, and many other activities, our staff is teaching students the past in order to change their future.
The department chair is Mr. Greg Hardy. The remaining staff in the social studies department is Paiton Hall, John Echerd, Aidan Hefner, and Mike Wickham. The history department is highly involved with student activities including football, Track, band and various other activities in the past. Department chair Greg Hardy and the other staff members are always seeking to find new ways to enhance Newton-Conover High School and the education your child is receiving on a day to day basis.
If you would like to get in contact with one of our staff please click the staff page and select the instructor in which you are looking for. We look forward to meeting each and every parent of the students we teach and hope that you will reach out any time that you have a question about history or the social studies department in general.
The tutoring schedule is also located below in a document. Each teacher is also available on a case by case basis as well if your child is in need of extra instruction so feel free to email either of the four teachers by clicking one of our names on the staff directory and finding the email that is attached to each instructor.
Also be sure to check out our monthly newsletter which will also be featured in the Newton-Conover High School newsletter!
Tutoring Schedule:
