Opening Day of School

Good Evening Red Devils. We are looking forward to our new school year. Beginning Monday, August 17, we will welcome our Group A Hybrid students to Newton-Conover High School. Our day will begin at 7:40am and we will run a normal bell schedule for the day. Before students are allowed into the building, they must have their temperature checked and be wearing a mask. Please be prepared for delay in drop off due to these procedures. If students have COVID-19 symptoms, including a fever over 100.4, they will not be allowed into the building and must be picked up by a parent. Once students enter the building, they will report to the Commons Area where homeroom lists will be placed throughout. Students will be supervised for social distancing until the bell rings at 7:30 to report to homeroom. Adults will be placed throughout the building to help new students find their homerooms. Students will receive their class schedules and Chromebooks in their homerooms before beginning their day. If Infosnap has not been completed, students will not be allowed to have their Chromebook checked out to them. The Newton-Conover High School Administrative team has prepared a video for you concerning all opening day information. We are so excited to see you on Monday, Group A students. Student Assignments

Any parent choosing to make changes to the instructional delivery method for their student will need to do so today, Friday August 14th prior to noon, 12:00pm. This includes changing your student from Hybrid (which is two days a week) to full five days Remote, or from full Remote to Hybrid (two days a week). This will allow our staff to make final arrangements for their classroom rosters and Chromebook distribution. If you have not received information pertaining to your Group assignment, please let us know today as well.

Parents, make sure you have completed the Infosnap information received in your email. This must be completed prior to your student receiving their Chromebook next week. Student Infosnaps that have not been completed will not receive a Chromebook. If you have changed your address in Infosnap, make sure you have uploaded a current proof of residence in your name. Student Group Assignments

Please be on the lookout for information concerning student assignments for the upcoming school year. Letters will be mailed out this weekend. Students have been placed into "A" Day/"B" Day by their geographical location within the district.

If you have not yet completed the survey as to your choice of instruction for your student, please do so as soon as possible. (only one survey needed per student) Unless we have received information that you are choosing full REMOTE instruction for your student, we are placing them within their respective hybrid group.
