Good evening Red Devil families, we hope you have stayed safe and warm during the weather this weekend. We look forward to another regular week here at N-CHS. Here are the announcements for this coming week.
Parents and students, please be aware of our tardy and attendance policies. Students must be in their classrooms by the tardy bell which rings at 7:40am. Please make sure you arrive to campus in enough time to make this requirement. Repeated tardies will result in disciplinary action as well as possible loss of driving privileges. Tardies, as well as attendance, also affect exam exemption policies for end of the semester. Please be sure to review these policies in our student handbook shared by teachers and on our school webpage.
Students are also reminded that if they drive a car to school, they must park in the student parking lot and purchase a parking pass in the front office. Parents who drop students off at school in the morning are also reminded to come through the car line by the front office doors and always exit our lot turning right. Students are not to be dropped off along the street or in adjacent parking lots. Please help us keep drop off and pick up as safe and moving steadily as possible for our Red Devils.
Our Spring semester Open House will be on Tuesday, February 1st. Teachers will be available from 3:30-6:00pm this day to meet parents and students. If your student is unable to attend, parents please plan to attend and bring your student’s schedule with you to follow. This is a great way to understand requirements of your student this semester and to form a working relationship with your child’s teachers. We look forward to seeing many of you there.
Senior parents and students, please remember that the Senior Ad deadline is quickly approaching. Please see your email reminder in order to get your ad into the yearbook in time!
Student athletes and parents, please see our school Facebook page for updated sporting events for the week. Many of our teams will be making up missed events from our weather events over the last two weeks.
We thank you for your continued support and we look forward to having all our Red Devils back on campus tomorrow. We hope you have a great evening, and Go Red Devils!

Parents and students, please see the following information concerning driver eligibility!
As of January 30, 2022, the driver eligibility requirements and suspensions are reinstated in North Carolina. All school districts in the State of North Carolina shall resume normal procedures regarding driver eligibility issuance and revocation processes. Consequently, if a student does not pass 3 out of 4 classes this second semester, then they will NOT be eligible to obtain a permit/driver's license OR they will LOSE their permit/driver's license if one has already been issued.
Students have been emailed with this information as well. Any questions or concerns may be addressed to our Driver Education coordinator, Matt Wilkinson at
matt.wilkinson@n-ccs.org.
